JOB PURPOSE

 

To review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors to employees and contractors, property and public. Also required to conduct audit and inspection to enforce rules and regulations on safety and health and environment on by employees and on work places including TAM and Project activities.

 

 

 

JOB KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

 

• Coordinate with EHS Manager and other members to implement SHEM and other regulatory requirements for achieving zero incident performance and in the preparation of monthly EHSS performance report.
• Review and arrange for approval of EHSS Plan for TAM & Projects as and when required. Evaluate and recommend EHS Engineers / Safety officers for the TAM / Projects in line with SHEM requirements.
• Back up for the TAM Safety Engineer if required.
• To conduct at least 6 EHS compliance audits and 2 SAE tour per month as per SHEM requirements.  Also, inspect specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, emergency retrieval system etc. for all the area assigned.
• Maintain EHSS records for all kind of internal and external audits in line with SHEM requirements (7A, B, etc.)  and prepare all necessary reports as required. 
• Participate in investigation of incidents to identify root / contributing causes and classification of incidents as per SHEM guidelines. Ensure the provision of required PPE and emergency equipment such as respirators, SCBA, gas tester and operation ability and advice on the suitability of the PPE by getting feedback from the employees.
• Inspect and approve the contractor equipment’s for TAM activities in line with SHEM requirements. Conduct risk assessments; follow up for implementation of recommendations and SAFER requirements as and when required.

 

 

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering. 
• 8 years experaince in related feild. 

 

 

 

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQIREMENTS 

 

• Knowledge of relevant standards OSHA, NFPA.
• Knowledge of principles and quality and instruction and coaching.
• English speaking and written fluently with ability to speak in public.
• Strong communication skills
