Job Purpose:

Support daily operations, which includes troubleshooting, plant optimization, equipment resources, debottlenecking, equipment commissioning and production loss accounting. He is responsible to ensure the plant provides maximum unit availability in a safe and economical manner by providing support to plant personnel using available resources.

Job Key Accountabilities:

• Troubleshooting and debottlenecking of unit operations and related equipment including identifying the problem source. Evaluate alternatives and suggest solutions and improvements
• Maintain regular daily communication with operations personnel and assist in commissioning of new equipment and other unit/control modifications.                                                    
• Review unit-operating data, conducts daily unit routine checks, visual inspection and report abnormalities.                                                         
• Coordinate any design modification implementation, review design packages for operability and safety, assist in equipment repairs and review notification with Engineering input and plan and coordinate all activities prior to ,during and after unit shutdown.
• Provide the required technical support to plants as per OP and SHEM procedures to produce products at high quality level and as per the production plan and target                                                    
• Conduct troubleshooting and technical studies for any plant abnormal condition or low productivity. Fully responsible for plant production performance monitoring.  Also responsible for operation performance improvement (production unit consumption, unit cost, etc.).
• Mange unit raw materials ,additive plan process order request and ensure availability with inventory accuracy .
• Participate in Accident / Incident Investigation Committees as required and recommend corrective action, Participate in conducting PSSR or HAZOP as team member.                                                      
• Provide guidance ,counsel assistance & participate  in unit month end closing ,issue required operational date report ,guide appropriate PHA ,RCA studies.     
• Assess information reported by Plant personnel on problems that could affect Plant unit. Initiate action on issues, which impede the satisfactory progress of operation activities. Communicates & Coordinates with Engineering Department to ensure that agreed projects, MOBs are implemented. Work closely with Licensor for technical advice or to solve critical plant problems.
• Perform other duties and special assignments as assigned and operations requirements.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.

Minimum Experience:

3 years Operational experience in petrochemical or oil industries.

Job Specific Skills/Competencies:

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong background and work experience in Operations.

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work (e.g. Sunday – Thursday) during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
