Job Summary

Regional Market Segment Leader Smart Panels, Lighting (SPL) & ETP Trim

The SPL&ETP Trim segment is in need of a Regional Market Segment Leader. The position is located in Wixom, MI with a strong focus on supporting the AMR region and coordinating with Europe and Asia Pacific. The RMSL is supporting and coordinating regional activities in regards to the Lighting, Smart Panel and ETP Trim market segment.

 

Materials are at the core of our Innovation processes. SABIC does not want to stop there. We are looking at opportunities beyond materials to differentiate. The RMSL will help us in the process to identify this differentiation. A focus to build a unique “Customer Experience” which make customers prefer SABIC to any other Chemical Company is an objective. Hence, being with our customers is going to be a critical part of the role.

 

We see strong growth opportunities for the market segment beyond Lighting in Smart Panels (Exterior and Interior) and ETP Trim. Because of Electrification, and the need to differentiate, OEMs and Tiers are investing to change through new designs and materials the look of the vehicle. These new approaches compete with existing designs, understand the vehicle architecture and systems design to utilize the benefits provided by plastics.

 

The future of our offering needs to meet Industry trends and regulatory requirements. At SABIC we are investing in our Sustainability solutions. The RMSL will help us to further design our offering with a focus on Mechanical Recycle, and work with our customers and the internal organization. We believe in the need of a Chemical Renewable and Chemical Recycle offering. The RMSL will help us to collaborate with customers on targeted projects to translate our offering to the entire Automotive industry.

Provide insights into the regional trends, support and shape the long-term strategic growth plan based on deep industry and customer knowledge that aligns with the Global SABIC Auto and Segment strategy, think system and application

  • Support a Multi Generation Product Plan
  • Build competitive advantage:
    • Understand the elements of Differentiation
    • Provide focus on strategic growth areas
    • Identify business opportunities beyond product and/or application, create a roadmap to achieve a unique “Customer Experience”, implement

 

What Matters to SABIC

(Job Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Previous market facing experience in the automotive industry.
  • Previous MNC experience
  • Previous experience to capture value creation with products and with customers
  • 10-15 years of experience with market product development
