Specialist, HR Ops Partner, Vadodara IN

JOB PURPOSE

Recruit, engage, retain and develop the best talent by driving entire range of HR activities in the manufacturing site including Performance Management, C&B, TA, HR Policies, statutory compliances, etc. Partner with functional leaders and department heads to drive HR systems and processes and be the face of HR at the manufacturing site consisting 300 plus employees and outsourced workforce. Ensure systems & procedures for manufacturing site legal compliance with labor legislations and other factories compliances enacted time to time being applicable to the SABIC Vadodara Manufacturing facility. Foster a progressive and a strong work ethic work culture based on SABIC values and ensure Industrial Disputes free employee relations in the plant.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Foster a progressive and a strong work ethic culture based on SABIC values. Collaborating with the site in rolling-out employee engagement initiatives like Annual Off-site meet, Annual Family Get together etc. to ensure healthy employee engagement at site. Boosting the employee morale by encouraging strong engagement between site HR, admin and various committees like; Employees Forum Committee, Cultural Committee, CSR committee etc.
  • Drive end–to-end recruitment and selection process for the site exempt & non–exempt requirements. Identify and engage headhunters & recruitment consultants for timely recruitment services to the site.
  • Ensure zero Industrial Disputes and productive Industrial Relations at Site. Drive disciplinary actions including; conducting departmental inquiries for reported misconducts/indiscipline as per the Model Standing Orders Act, issuance of warning/show cause notices and take up other punitive actions including termination of services.
  • Ensure legal compliance with labor legislations and other factories compliances enacted time to time being applicable to the SABIC Vadodara plant. Drive contract labor management & Apprenticeship Act compliance by partnering with Site Admin.
  • Support functional leaders and department heads on performance management process for exempt & non-exempt employees through conducting process awareness and one-to-one discussions when required.
  • Ensure functional competence and versatility of the shop floor employees and upkeep manufacturing ability of the site employees by driving competency framework supported with all necessary training & development initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the country & APAC HR in the implementation of the Global / Regional HR policies, updating and aligning the plant team the on global / APAC HR initiatives. Implement and assist in development of HR practices and processes considering manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain healthy relationship & liaisons with Government offices of Commissioner of Provident Fund, Dy. Director Industrial Health & Safety, Dy. Commissioner Labor, local Police Station, Office of District Collector etc.
  • Partnering with the site admin on payroll process to ensure timely inputs on employee attendance, leave records, monthly MIS for all employees & contractors working at site. Also run periodic Reward & Recognitions awards for the site. Support the site employees for the insurance, PF, VFRA related services.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management / Labor Legislations / Industrial Relations.

 

Experience

  • Overall 10-15 years with sound experience of HR Practices, Factory compliance & Industrial Relations.
  • 3-5 years of experience as Heading HR Functions in a MNC at plant level.
  • 3-5 years of experience on various HR Subsystems like – Talent review process, Training and development, Recruitment, competency mapping etc.
  • 3-5 years of experience on C & B management.
  • Min. 5 years’ experience of handling the Factory & Labor Laws and Industrial Relations.

 

Competencies

  • Profound ability to deal with people and strong influential skills a leader.
  • Strong knowledge of Industrial & labor laws.
  • Strong knowledge of Industrial Disputes Act, Model Standing Orders Act and Conducting Disciplinary Actions.
  • Strong administrative & employee engagement skills.
  • Communication skill while working with internal & external stake holders.
