Sr. Buyer, Procurement, Site SG

Location: SHPP Singapore, Benoi

JOB PURPOSE

Manage the Site Procurement activity for direct materials / indirect materials & services at the respective Site locations in the ROA region.  Responsible for the respective Site Procurement operation with required strategies, ensure uninterrupted Procurement operation, availability of supply, maximize value creation for SABIC. Maintain Suppliers' performance and relationship. Ensure operations compliant to Procurement policy, procedures, and guidelines, along with local legislation standards and EHSS requirements. Implement best practices across the Procurement lifecycle and align with key stakeholders with relevant KPI and dashboard.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

  • Manages the day-to-day procurement activities by utilizing multiple tools while providing expertise, encouraging and ensuring cross-functional teamwork, aligning work processes in order to achieve high performance standards, establish and meet targets and objectives in a motivated work environment ( including market intelligence analysis , Supplier development , Supplier registration , Bidding and Negotiation , Cross-functional alignment to prepare/conclude Contract &PO, expediting goods/service, logistic and documentation , payment , after service and other engagements including site audit , statutory audit, customer audit  ...)
  • Liaises and coordinates with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to support and ensure process execution and smooth flow of the goods & services for organization’s business operations continuity, providing forward looking market/supplier dynamics to the concerned key stakeholder for proactive measure to mitigate risk and create values
  • Manage designated supplier relationships with Supplier Performance Dashboard at region/site level and maintaining all procurement record and catalog in Procurement system.
  • Partnership with GPS internal teams to enhance and translate global / regional category strategies, plans or best practices where applicable.
  • Work with APAC EMS team to provide regional requirements, support needs, and ensure center driven resources and efforts are effectively leveraged for Global/Regional selected categories.
  • Continuously finds opportunities to make the function’s processes more efficient and effective over the period and share these with peers as well as procurement leadership.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or commensurate experience.
  • CPSM / CIPS certificate will be a plus.
  • 5 years’ experience in procurement or supply management in Petrochemicals or other manufacturing industries.
  • 3 years’ experience in category management, Procurement strategy development and execution.
  • Knowledge and Experience with SAP and ARIBA or other ERP and eSourcing systems.
  • Good knowledge & experience in sourcing categories.
  • Knowledgeable with policies, procedures, systems and best practices in the areas of Supply Management and supplier qualification.
  • Knowledge of Procurement Compliance & Conformance.
