JOB TITLE: SPECIALIST – SITE COMMUNICATIONS (SEA/ANZ/JP/KR)

JOB PURPOSE

This role serves as Site Communications for 9 countries (primarily but not limited to Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand) to drive the implementation of internal and external communications plans and country CSR programs to deliver the regional/global communications strategy and facilitate business priorities for these 9 countries as well as the Rest Of Asia (ROA) regional initiatives when required through the seamless collaboration with the peers in the ROA Communications team, Corporate Functions & SBU's in the region and the global CoEs in Global Communications Function.

 

This role is also responsible for all aspects of local crisis communications for 9 countries.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, plan, execute and advise site and country corporate functions on all aspects of communications
  • Creates and/or advises on communication content for team meetings, site events, and public engagements
  • Align and closely collaborate with the Regional Internal Communications Lead to support content development for the internal / employee communications in the local sites
  • Collaborate with Regional Head and EHSS leads when necessary to plan and implement crisis communications within the region in collaboration with Regional Communications Leader and Corporate Communications COE for Crisis Communications in HQ
  • Project manage and lead event management and communication initiatives as needed when serving a s a team member for projects which will require communications support, collaborating with global teams
  • Drive alignment, implementation and consistency of communications to the overall SABIC Brand strategy and be an ambassador in Brand governance collaborating with Brand Management
  • Develop and track metrics to measure effectiveness and impact of communications activities for Site, CSR and Corporate Functions
  • Manage site communications-related budget as part of the regional aggregated budget and support planning for the region in collaboration with HQ global teams

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Mass Communication or equivalent
  • At least 9 - 12 years' experience in Corporate Communications roles, across multiple geographic regions and business models in complex matrix structures
  • Experience in B2B business, manufacturing and crisis communications
  • Excellent in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders
  • Good strategic and creative thinking
  • Proactive and willing to learn individual
