Job Purpose:
To drive market development and differentiation growth for engineering thermal plastics (including polycarbonate, polycarbonate alloy & compounds, and other ETP products) in assigned region / territory and markets aimed to achieve SABIC Petrochemical 2030 ambition and maximize business profit (EBITDA) by developing opportunities to grow differentiated / high-added-value (HAV) product sales, offering innovative & value based solutions through collaboration with external parties (including brand owners, OEM, machine manufacturers, converters, government agencies, industry associations, etc.) and internal stakeholders (businesses, sales, technology, manufacturing affiliates, product stewardship, etc.), as well as providing satisfactory technical support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Market Development
- Identify differentiate opportunities for external collaboration (with e.g., brand owners, OEM, machine manufacturers, converters, government agencies, industry associations, etc.) for joint development.
- Engage with value chain partners to promote existing products, generate ideas for new solutions / offerings, and identify market trends, customer needs and opportunities for (joint) development of new solutions.
- Conduct market study, build market growth roadmap, strategy and implementation plan and and market intelligence in assigned region/territory.
- Collaborate with technology, business and other related functions to develop innovative and differentiated solutions / offerings, including new products, new applications and new customers.
- Technical support
Resolve customer onsite technical problems/complaints: provide evidence to support final justification /compensation to technical complaints in timely and quality manner.- Deliver industry trainings to Sales teams and external customers.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Master Degree or above in polymer, chemical engineering, materials science and engineering
- 6-9 years’ industry experience
- Good product, application and industry knowledge in engineering thermal plastics (mainly polycarbonate, polycarbonate alloy & compounds)
- More than two years’ experience in marketing preferred
- Experience on marketing, build & maintain good customer relationship to enable collaboration to realize success collaboration; transfer industry/customer needs to strategy and implementation plan; experience on home appliances and consumer industry.
- Driving for success, planning and organizing, hold people accountable
- Strong analytical and conceptual selling skills
- Multicultural flexibility and international mindset of building on diversity
- Team player, willing to coach and mentor less experienced engineers
- Ability to energize others and take decisions based on limited information
- Good listening, presentation and communication skills
- Excellent English; any additional language preferred
- Good track record of execution and delivery of results
