JOB PURPOSE:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            The Business position L5 in Greater China is responsible for steering the business of LLD and optimize bottom line of business. Working proactively with L4 to forecast and develop long-term business strategies to meet Business Unit goals and objectives, identification and implementation of relevant improvements for the assigned business including innovation, customer service, cost optimization and Technology Development Projects with global teams.  

Chairs Greater China S&OP and he/she provides inputs to financial and market forecasts and determines pricing guidlines with responsibility for price approval up to 3% below MAP (minimum accepted price). Also be a accountable of complaints by advising settlement of associated claims with responsibility for up to USD 1 million per case.

Responsible for Technology and Innovation about definition, progress and outcome of longer term development projects as gate keeper for gate 1&2 and devloper till gate 5.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Steering SABIC Petrochemical SBU vision and strategy into comprehensive Business Targets (including asset profitability, product portfolio, distribution, marketing and sales) for the LLDPE Business in GC and executing them.
  • Maximize the overall cash contribution to the business on short / medium term and optimize global asset P&L. Focus on pricing position strategy, value pricing, technology platform capabilities, product differentiation, application development and new market development to drive sustained growth and profitability.
  • Develop and execute 1+4 business plan with clear objectives and KPI's & Lead regional S&OP & Commercial strategy meeting. Typical EBITDA impact of decisions is more than $610 million and volume of more than 554 KMT pa.
  • Steer the VT (Value Team) in SSTPC/FREP and develop business cases to ensure value improvement, product applications expansion and innovation with manufacturing. Identify and propose projects for improvement, growth and innovation of LLDPE Business and lead them in GC.
  • Generate effective market penetration strategy by providing expertise & knowledge of new high added value products to achieve pricing excellent and preferred supplier position in the market.
  • Drive the deployment / market share, contracts, customer segmentation, channel management by guiding polymer sales team to realize business targets.
  • Exploring new business model with relevant GEM setup such as using the USD to RMB netback model and system integration with KSA.
  • Driving long term (2030) strategy execution, Including;

- New investment opportunities (marketing study, portfolio selection, technology choice,pre-marketing...) aligning with Growth Project Team.

- Lead Innovation / differentiation through driving and engaging global PE business & technology management, MDTS & sales.

  • Steering multidisciplinary business process of Sales, Segment, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technology & Innovation and P&PI to drive 2030 Strategic Business targets and objectives.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree of recognized university (Preferred Chemistry, Polymer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering as major), Acquired knowledge in broad business sense by experience
  • 10  years proven track record of successful Business experience in the petrochemical or in a similar industrial environment; Broad experience in the relationship between sales, development, supply chain and manufacturing; Working in different organizations with different systems & policies; Strong Financial background & knowledge; Excellent communication skills and strong strategic planning skills.
