Job Summary

SABIC is hiring for an internship position, supporting cost accounting and reporting to SHPP in the US and Canada. The position will be a part of the US Product Costing team, working approximately 30 hours/week from July 2024 through January 2025.

How You Can Be the Impact

• Assist with month-end financial closing activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries, actual/plan variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Participate in the monthly cycle counting programs, including audits of counts.
• Understand and maintain internal controls to help verify the accuracy of the financial results reported for their responsible site(s).
• Project support, including financial/business audits and ERP/process improvements.
• Ad hoc data collection and analysis as needed, to support business requests.

What Matters to SABIC

• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly

• Self-motivated and results oriented
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Office suite, specifically Excel
• Pursuing a Business Degree (Bachelors or higher) in Finance or Accounting with at least a 3.0/4.0 GPA
