JOB PURPOSE
To develop, maintain and manage Corporate Insurance Programs and alternative risk financing for asset and Operational and liability exposures with total sum insured exceeds $200 bln. Act as a center of excellence (CoE) for SABIC’s insurance management. Manage Global Insurance department and activities, being subject matter expert and manage relationship with insurance markets and insurance providers, representing SABIC risk and insurance portfolios to the best interest of the organization and to optimize cost for optimal insurance coverage.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set and communicate annual departmental goals and objective in alignment with overall Insurance Management objectives and corporate Finance Strategies.
- Organizes, maintains and approves all global and local insurance policies renewals, part of the corporate finance strategy supporting business growth.
- Negotiate and manage insurance related agreements.
- Establish, update and communicate and obtain necessary approvals for SABIC Global Insurance strategies and tactics annually.
- Manage global insurance teams in KSA, USA, Asia and Europe.
- Approve and authorize all insurance declarations for SABIC Global Insurance Policies and other local and regional policies.
- Ensure compliance with local and global regulators requirements and external governors and maintain adequate audit trail.
- Manage Insurance Market relationship and maintain effective networking with insurance providers.
- Plan and manage departmental budges and cost optimizations.
- Establish, update and communicate guidelines and procedures, ensuring full compliance with the company Standards, Process and Procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Economics or Business from an internationally recognized university or collage.
• Cert CII & Dip CII ACII ( or equivalent) Optional additional risk related qualification.
• 9 - 16 years plus of professional experience in risk management, credit and commercial risk, political risk.
• A minimum of 5 years in managerial roles.
• Broad experience in large business.
• International experience, and experience across multiple geographic locations desirable.

Work Availability
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work (e.g. Sunday – Thursday) during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
