Senior Account Manager, Automotive EMEA

 

Job Summary

Reporting into the Sr. Manager, Automotive Sales West Europe & North Africa, the Sales Account Manager is commercially responsible for growing the business within SABIC´s Automotive Segment in the EMEA Region. Automotive is a key strategic segment within Petrochemicals in SABIC that manages the largest tiers and OEM's in EMEA with its joint portfolio of PP and ETP materials. The Automotive team focuses on all key existing applications in the segment as well as the new megatrends in electrification and sustainability. How You Can Be the Impact

  • Identify, develop and close new business opportunities by balancing between strategic customer approach and short-term goals.
  • Drive profitable growth and share expansion within your portfolio/territory.
  • Build and develop account plans and project pipeline.
  • Represent SABIC for the assigned customer(s) including all contractual and commercial arrangements.
  • Bring the Voice of Customer to SABIC, to better identify New Product Introduction (NPI) opportunities that enable the application development process and provide input for manufacturing planning.
  • Work in close contact with support functions to optimize service to the customer and SABIC profitability.
  • Develop relationships globally within all internal and external stakeholders.

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • >10 years of experience in the commercial field, if this is in the automotive segment it would be considered as a plus.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication in French & English. Any other language is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the chemical industry with some technical base to support the commercial content: Polymers, Processing and Characterization Technologies, etc. 
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Business acumen and strong negotiation skills
  • Team player and an empathetic person with capabilities to develop long term relationships with customers.
  • Have the ability to lead, direct, guide, plan & develop new projects & programs.
  • Are good managing complex business situations, deadlines, and prioritization.
  • Have strong analytical skills.
