Job Summary 

Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment, control systems, associated auxiliaries and environmental compliance in an assigned manufacturing operation; which may include chemical operations, mixing, blending, and plastic compounding.  Must have the ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and to work a reasonable level of scheduled and unscheduled overtime. 

 

 

How You Can Be the Impact

  • Conduct various physical activities and mental reasoning in the manufacturing of plastic resin and pellet products.
  • Manipulate controls (operate a computer controlled system while observing production processes); and observe, correct and record instrument readings related to temperature, pressure, volume, and/or weight.
  • Lift materials, connect line/tank hook-ups; conduct area housekeeping, collect samples, operate a forklift, and clean equipment regularly. 
  • Follow applicable work processes, communicate effectively to other teams and team members, and complete the job specific training certification.

 

What Matters to SABIC

 

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent educational diploma
  • Two years of consistent work experience (Manufacturing a plus)
  • Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the position
  • High safety and environmental awareness
  • Work well within an inclusive team environment
  • Ability to communicate with team and other individuals
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and professionalism 

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform tasks such as lifting – up to 55 lbs, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day.  Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical.
