Job Summary

Sales Accoun Manager

Leads sales volume growth and EBITDA expansion at direct buying automotive accounts. Requires engagement with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and SABIC OEM leaders to understand the product positioning and sales value.  Prospects for new business to increase resins sales within an assigned territory. Negotiates prices and aligns with OEM vehicle specifications.  Responsible for the full sales cycle for the SABIC Petrochemicals product portfolio (i.e., STAMAX, Polypropylene compounds, CYCOLOY, Cycolac, Lexan, Valox, Xenoy, Geloy) to grow volume sales and maintain high levels of product differentiation and premium in the automotive market

 

How You Can Be the Impact

  • Leads sales growth and business development at assigned accounts in Automotive segment in the North of Mexico
  • Drives sales of product portfolio to emphasize volume expansion and achieving high levels of differentiated and premium sales through value selling and price negotiation of SABIC resins.
  • Creates strategy to identify new and existing applications to position SABIC resins.
  • Assists Tiers in product recommendations and in developing applications using SABIC resins.  Maintains strong customer relationships with key molders and OEMs contacts.
  • Aggressive milestone management to complete sales cycle and close new business in an impactful and efficient manner. Including all contractual and commercial arrangements.
  • Articulates account strategy with teammates in different geographies in order to coordinate SABIC growth activities (US, EU, Asia)
  • Give input for planning (S&OP)
  • Prepare, write and execute on (account) sales plans, involving a multi-disciplinary team

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • Ability to manage highly complex business situations, lead cross functional teams.
  • Manage large complex and strategically important multinational accounts, negotiates contracts, analyzes prices and margins
  • Act as project leader in introducing new concepts/products/services to the market
  • Understands and resolves issues with technical products/concepts (Resins/Engineering Thermal Plastics)

Creates growth strategies at top accounts supplying automotive OEMs

  • Physical Requirements:

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience or more
  • Full command of English in reading and writing
  • Technical and commercial aptitude required to identify opportunities and position SABIC materials and application solutions
  • High level of self-confidence: Ability to network and leverage all levels of an organization to gain support.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of plastics and plastic applications within the automotive industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education (BS/BA Business/Marketing/Technical Degree)
  • Experience in Polypropylene or ETP Auto market, properties applications and developments.
  • Ability to travel to customers up to 50% of time

Work Availability

This position is applicable for remote work. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work (e.g. Monday – Friday)] during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs
