JOB SUMMARY

  • Represents all aspects of the sales process including all contractual and commercial arrangements.( Preparing quotations, contracts, commercial offers, etc)
  •  Responsible to bring “Voice of Customer” to SABIC Product Marketing Team to better identify New Product Introduction (NPI) opportunities that enable the application development process.

 

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for profitable sales growth, application development and specification at an assigned group of customers in the custom compound, high heat and under the hood segments.
  • This region represents around 20% of our Total sales in Mexico (15 MM USD)
  • This position will be negotiating with large complex accounts and OEM´s  
  • Leverage engineering thermoplastic and Polypropylene materials for automotive part design, tooling, processing and commercial knowledge to discover, define, develop, deliver and translate complex applications at existing and new customers.
  • Deliver application design productivity and leverage the value proposition of SABIC high performance resins to secure material specifications.
  • Duties include translation of key technologies and validation of new technologies at assigned customer(s) through in depth knowledge of OEMs/Tier strategy, specification / decision-making process and vehicle cadence.
  • Internal facing technical specialist that will be responsible for training peers on material positioning for complex applications.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering Degree Required - Chemical Engineering degree and MBA preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Previous plastics sales and specification experience in the custom compound, high heat, and under the hood segments.
  • Expert in Polypropylene Auto market, properties applications and developments.
  • Technical and commercial aptitude required to identify opportunities, position SABIC material, and application solutions
  • High level of self-confidence: Ability to network and leverage all levels of an organization to gain support.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Min of 5 -9 years of experience within de Automotive Industry /Sales
