Leader, CMPG Bamboo
JOB PURPOSE
Leader of the bamboo plant readiness preparation team serves as a focal point in responsible for new plant operation together with PEC, PMT and Contractors to achieve synchronized efforts in plant commissioning and starting up. Oversee the entire commissioning process for construction and equipment, guaranteeing smooth integration, a successful startup, proactive risk mitigation, Work with HR Business partner and other key stockholders for hiring Manufacturing resources, training and team set up to ensure the smooth transition of the plant from the construction phase to stable, normal operations.
KEY ACOUNTABILITIES
- Engage in the detailed engineering design of the project as subject matter experts (SMEs). Conduct thorough technical verification to ensure that construction activities and equipment installations comply with design specifications and project requirements. Ensure that all systems and equipment fulfill functional, safety, and performance benchmarks prior to commencing commissioning activities.
- Create comprehensive PRP plans that encompass scope definition, scheduling timelines, resource distribution, quality control protocols, and acceptance criteria. Ensure that commissioning plans are aligned with the overall project timelines, collaborating with PMT teams to guarantee timely execution. Work with local statutory bodies and project team on various permits and approvals.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the management system in the new plant, which includes SAP, OMS, ISO, and other relevant management systems. Design and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that are consistent with OMS, ISO, and process standards.
- Assist in the recruitment process and provide training to cultivate a proficient startup team. Deliver technical training on commissioning processes, equipment operation, safety protocols, and project-specific requirements to enhance the capabilities of the team.
- Lead the Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), commissioning activities, and flawless start-up program. Manage all on-site commissioning tasks, including pre-commissioning inspections, functional testing, system adjustments, and performance validation. Establish a systematic approach for identifying, documenting, and tracking project defects and commissioning risks. Develop corrective action strategies and oversee the implementation of solutions to ensure resolution.
- Define and establish acceptance criteria for the qualification of new production lines, leading the comprehensive line qualification process. Collaborate with Business, T&I, and Manufacturing teams to secure line approval and transition to mass production once all qualification standards are met.
- Formulate a structured production ramp-up strategy with explicit volume targets, timelines, and milestones. Monitor daily production output, quality, and efficiency, and adjust plans as necessary to achieve consistent mass production.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Mechanical, electrical, or related discipline"
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Process Manufacturing industry / 10 years’ experience in Management/Supervision"
- Proficiency in commissioning standards and best practices or industry-specific regulations.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment types, and system integration principles.
- Ability to develop and implement commissioning plans, with expertise in risk assessment and flaw management.
- Familiarity with project management software and documentation tools.
- Thorough understanding of petrochemical industry, customers, markets and competitors
- Good understanding of key manufacturing and operational processes
- Good understanding of Global and Local EHS Law and Policy
- Proven leadership in project management on manufacturing expansion.
- Deep knowledge in SABIC products production process and clear about values and risks for all chemical additives
