Job Summary

The growth ambition is to drive technical application development of existing and new solutions at Automotive OEMs and tiers across the Specialties Product portfolio.

How You Can Be the Impact

• Lead and support customer’s new application development in strategic E-Mobility applications including EV powertrain, battery, RADAR/LIDAR, cameras, sensors, etc. as well as traditional Automotive components.
• Propose technical design solutions (including material requirements, new product introductions and new business opportunities) based on Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEMs) needs and SABICs capability.
• Collaborate with Business Development Leaders to support the specification and design process for new applications at key customers to deliver new business revenue to SABIC.
• Ability to gain credibility and build relationships with technical decision makers at Top Tiers and OEMs to position SABIC as a preferred supplier/partner for specialty products.
• Grow stakeholder & decision owner networks/relationships at key customers to drive new application and translation wins.
• Influencing and supporting customers by providing technical knowledge and value-added expertise.
• Support new application growth via design concept development including Computer Aided Analysis, Structural/Mold Filling, Cost Feasibility Analysis, etc.
• Lead and manage highly complex technical application development projects at Top Tiers/OEMs while supporting OEM strategy development and execution.
• Liaison with Technology and Product teams for relevant new product launches, special customer projects, and new technology platforms
• Project leadership to drive OEM Material Specification approval process. Coordinate appropriate data generation, review of accuracy and development of specification package for customer review and approval.
• Coordinates/conducts technical/ product training at customers through seminars or Lunch & Learn meetings.

What Matters to SABIC

• BS/BA Degree, Engineer Degree Desired
• 7 + year relevant technical experience
• Understanding of/experience in various Automotive systems (i.e. electrification, advanced driver assistance, autonomy, body components, etc.).
• Experience growing new market/new application opportunities with valued customers and tiers.
• Understanding of OEM Material Specification approval process
• Self-starter with the drive and passion to succeed.
• Excellent communication and matrix management skills
• Business Acumen
