Job Summary
The Business Development Leader, Global OEM Sales is responsible for supporting all commercial activities at assigned OEM. This individual will need to collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate growth at assigned OEM and develop / execute technical and commercial plans to deliver operating measurements. The focus areas of this role include commercial strategy execution, contract negotiations, management of key customer relationships, and compliance with OEM agreements.
How You Can Be the Impact
- Execute commercial strategies to drive volume growth that supports SABIC’s targeted growth plans.
- Build target pipeline and convert opportunities to profitable sales.
- Collaborate with business teams to develop account pricing that captures business and realizes value SABIC brings in competitive situations.
- Propose solutions based on OEM’s needs and SABICs capability, support management of the projects that bring these solutions to market.
- Understand and articulate both short and long-term customer needs including material requirements and new business opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships with SABIC’s global teams (technology, supply chain, production sites, legal) to offer practical solutions that respond to customer requests.
- Support resolution of quality issues and long-term quality and supply chain improvements that ensure uninterrupted supply to OEM.
- Track, evaluate, and report out on financial performance of OEM account.
- Ability to gain credibility with the OEM across multiple disciplines including sourcing, design, engineering, quality, environmental, and leadership.
- Represent SABIC in meetings between OEM and third parties.
What Matters to SABIC
- BS/BA Degree; engineering degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Marketing/Sales or technical sales
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Ability to analyze data and use it to make compelling arguments
- Strong communications skills with proven ability to influence at all levels in the organization
- Creativity to identify new market opportunities for SABIC
- Skill at prioritizing tasks in a complex matrix environmental
- Regular domestic travel for in-person customer meetings, occasional international travel
