Job Summary

  • Collaborate with Global IT/OT and local Process Automation stakeholders to define Regional DMZ security protocols and digitalization for plant sites.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Cyber Security SOPs, Network SOPs.

  • Monitor and Report on Corporate OT Cyber Security KPI’s

  • Coordinate with Global IT/OT to ensure the configuration of security, routers, switches and firewalls.  Maintain maximum efficiency availability, troubleshoot security and network issues.

  • Supervise vulnerability/penetration, network & computer systems integrity testing

  • Evaluate and improve backup restoration testing.

  • Facilitate creation and maintenance of accurate network diagrams, configurations, and documentation for AMR sites including coordination DMZ risk assessments.

  • Evaluate, improve and implement security tools, policies, and procedures

  • Supervise/perform system upgrades, virus updates, service pack updates, patches and hot fixes.

  • Manage DMZ server based applications such as Logmate and IP21, coordinate with IT End User Services to identify and resolve application issues.

  • Develop, implement and maintain infrastructure lifecycle plan to ensure assets are kept current and in compliance with Corporate IT/OT cyber security directives.

  • Obtain stakeholder buy-in and P&E project justification.

  • Monitor DMZ network performance, system utilization, trending, capacity and manage security technology solutions.

  • Monitor/analyze intrusion/threat logs, network logs and report abnormal security events

  • Perform incident investigations, root cause analysis on alerts and breaches.

  • Maintain technical expertise relevant to industry standards and best practices.

  • Monitor types and techniques of hacking attacks in the wild.

  • Stay up to date with current news, techniques, seminars and trends

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Automation Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science related qualifications and work experience connected to the fields of Manufacturing Automation, OT Information Security and OT Information Technology.
  • 10 years’ Automation and IT/OT experience in a chemical/petrochemical industry, manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with Distributed Control System (DCS), System Management, DMZ networks, firewalls, routers, switches, VMS, DNS, Windows Active Directory security and ISA/IEC 62443 Sr. Process Security standards
  • Experience with analyzing log data through analytic tools, endpoint remediation and forensic investigation.
  • Experience handling cyber-attacks, security programs and hardware issues.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, detail oriented dynamic environment and to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, multi-task and work in a self-directed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, resolving issues and sharing knowledge.

 

Desired Skill: 

  • Proven experience with management and application of process historian tools such as IP21.

  • Proven experience interfacing with modern DCS Systems Emerson DeltaV, Yokogawa Centum CS3000/VP, Honeywell.

  • Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM)

  • Demonstrated high energy and execution focus

  • Demonstrated project management and facilitation skills

  • Self-starter, works well with minimum supervision

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work  Monday – Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs
