This SBU provides unique offerings such as high heat resins, functional compounds and additives, specialty fluids, nanotechnology and thermoplastics composites to industries such as Additive Manufacturing, Consumer & Industrial, Electronics, Healthcare, Mass Transportation, Automotive and Water Management.


Job Purpose & Responsibilities

• Provide operations and production leadership for the Lexan Finishing operation with approximately 100 employees

• Facilitates organizational effectiveness through modeling, reinforcing and coaching team

• Interacts with the business and site in setting the direction for the operating unit including operating parameters and high-level production targets and Business Rules

• Identifies and communicates operating unit goals and technology plans with respect to health, safety, and environmental concerns, unit operations, and technical opportunities

• Own the Unit Technology Plan

• Makes sound and timely business decisions based upon Business Technology and Unit Technology Plans

• Develops and drives implementation of capital projects that support and advance Business and Unit improvement initiatives

• Manages personal development and the development of direct reports.

• Sets expectations and coaches’ team to ensure that they are understood and accomplished



• BS Engineering

• At least 15 years of experience in a process manufacturing industry. Preferably in chemical and or compounding operations.

• Demonstrated ability to meet program and/or operating plan metrics

• Extremely strong team leadership and cross-functional communication skills

• Excellent analytical skills

• Ability to work with high a degree of reliability and self-reliance

• Excellent interpersonal skills


Desired Skills:

•          Six Sigma MAIC/DFSS trained

•          Six Sigma Black Belt Certified

•          Lean Manufacturing
