Job Summary

Ensures operations are optimized to achieve Business needs.

 

How You Can Be the Impact

  • Supports Asset Operations work process. This includes working with OLT to establish PGR triggers, coaching the operations team on PGR resolution, and facilitating handoffs to other work processes.
  • Ensures Business Line, Operations and Supply Chain are fully coordinated. This includes coordinating the production plans with the other MTV Lexan PCL’s and outage production planning.
  • Converts Business Plan to daily operations plan and communicating the plan to the operations team.
  • Provides technical expertise in the daily operations of the unit; assists Operators in resolving gaps between production versus plan.
  • Provides troubleshooting expertise
  • Works with the Process Availability Leader to ensure operating plan and reliability issues are coordinated.
  • Supports Asset Availability work process
  • Analyzes and allocates production losses.
  • Obtains the current margin values-Updates the MAC (Maximum Asset Capability) and margin values in the Asset Availability database·
  • Supports Asset Reliability work process-Works with the Process Availability leader to ensure operating plan, PPM plan, and reliability issues are coordinated
  • Helps define manufacturing strategy based on variable cost, mix and service requirements. Define, execute, and track materials and energy usage budget.Enter 5-7 major job responsibilities here.

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • Enter 5-Bachelor in Engineering required, Chemical E preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years engineering experience
  • Thorough understanding of unit operations, process equipment and technology
  • Understanding of the sales and operations planning process; production system capabilities and limitations; and knowledge of the different conversion costs associated with product mix
  • Ability to listen generously and practice open advocacy;
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to give encouragement, guidance and direction to others to improve performance.
  • Ability to use simple statistical tools such as fish bone, histogram, Pareto charts, etc. for data analysis.
  • Ability to collect relevant data, history trends, and process information, RCA results, and other data to identify or troubleshoot process problems.
  • Ability to use in depth analysis and structured methodology to identify the true root causes of a situation or event.
  • Incumbent derives great satisfaction out of transferring their knowledge and skills for process troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Ability to lead others in discovering the answers to problems versus just providing them
