How You Can Be the Impact

  • Establish Performance Gap Report, coaching the operations team on resolution, and facilitating handoffs to other work processes
  • Provides technical expertise in the daily operations of the unit; assists Operators in resolving gaps between production vs plan.
  • Provides troubleshooting expertise.
  • Monitor daily production and quality levels to determine if action is needed
  • Statistical analysis of production performance
  • Assist in implementing SPC processes
  • Conduct detailed projects and Kaizen as needed
  • Detailed knowledge of root cause and corrective action as determined (8D, 5WHY, 5s/6s, DMAIC, Four square, FMEA, PDA etc.)
  • Lead the Continuous Improvement and Operations Excellence for film and sheet operations
  • Experience with waste free manufacturing and lean manufacturing projects
  • Determine actions and tools for standardized manufacturing processes
  • Train Operations/Quality Departments in Structured Problem Solving
  • Create site measurement capabilities as needed
  • Research, Plan and Implement new technologies that improve efficiencies, reduce downtime, improve uptime, increase throughput etc.
  • Special Projects as assigned

What Matters to SABIC

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technical field working in various industries (automotive, aerospace, food, pharmaceutical, plastics (extrusion and injection molding, and other manufacturing industries)).
  • 3-5  years’ experience with continuous improvement projects (with recent projects completed in the last 1-5 years)
  • Kaizen/ Six Sigma Greenbelt /Black belt Certification Required
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills. Experience with Minitab or other statistical software.
  • Thorough understanding manufacturing operations, production system capabilities and limitations
  • Experience in improving line efficiencies, uptime, process flow, reducing waste, OEE,
