How You Can Be the Impact

  • Ensures Business Line, Operations and Supply Chain are fully coordinated.
  • Converts Business Plan to daily operations plan.
  • Supports Asset Operations work process. This includes working with Operations
  • Leadership Team (OLT) to establish Performance Gap Report (PGR) triggers, coaching the operations team on resolution, and facilitating handoffs to other work processes
  • Provides technical expertise in the daily operations of the unit; assists Operators in resolving gaps between production versus plan.
  • Provides troubleshooting expertise.
  • Works with the Process Availability Leader to ensure operating plan and reliability issues are coordinated.
  • Supports Asset Availability work process by analyzing and allocating production losses
    Obtains the current margin values & updates the MAC (Maximum Asset Capability) and margin values.
  • Updates the MAC (Maximum Asset Capability) and margin values in the Asset Availability database
  • Helps define manufacturing strategy based on variable cost, mix and service requirements.
  • Define, execute, and track materials and energy usage budget.

    **The site is located in Mt. Vernon, IN - just west of Evansville, IN.

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the operation, design, and manufacture, of plant and machinery in an industrial chemical operation.
  • Thorough understanding of unit operations, process equipment and technology
  • Thorough understanding of the sales and operations planning process; production system capabilities and limitations; and knowledge of the different conversion costs associated with product mix.
  • Ability to listen generously and practice open advocacy; ability to provide people the information to perform their assigned roles by spoken word.
  • Ability to give encouragement, guidance and direction to others to improve performance.
  • Ability to use simple statistical tools such as fish bone, histogram, Pareto charts, etc. for data analysis.
  • Ability to collect relevant data (vibration, temp, metallurgical, etc), RCA results, and other data to identify or troubleshoot process problems.
  • Ability to collect relevant data, history trends, and process information, RCA results, and other data to identify or troubleshoot process problems.
  • Ability to use in depth analysis and structured methodology to identify the true root causes of a situation or event.
  • Incumbent derives great satisfaction out of transferring their knowledge and skills for process troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Ability to lead others in discovering the answers to problems versus just providing them.
