Job Summary
Develop the Regional S&OP Demand and Supply Plan that feeds into the Global S&OP and translate into a production/replenishment plan by defining bottlenecks and proposing solutions in order to realize and secure an uninterrupted customer order process. Provide clear guidance to optimize midterm planning based on an agreed constrained demand and supply plan. Work with commercial teams to develop accurate forecasts for demand. Analyze product family actual stock and planned stock levels for the proceeding 4-18 months based on the demand plan, agreed service levels and production plan, optimal run length and different service models. Steer production and raw materials via the replenishment-, production- and plant schedules
How You Can Be the Impact
- Manages demand and supply requirements for both domestic and affiliate requirements.
- Key player in both strategic and tactical Regional & Global S&OP processes by approving unconstrained demand plan to develop a constrained demand and supply scenario recommendations.
- Develops varied business cases to senior leaders to make demand, supply, capacity, utilization, cost, and inventory decisions
- In-depth understanding of customers, products, markets, and trends in order to develop high-level supply plans into actionable and realistic fulfilment and inventory strategies.
- Balances the commercial requirements and operational rigor to create strategic, efficient plans to manufacturing (insert requests, minimum order quantities, etc.)
- Develops and coordinates extensive annual outages plans to maintain reliability and working capital investment
- Initiate and coordinate the right planning solution to improve service for our customers at the lowest production and service costs
- Utilize inventory and capacity as active parameters to steer the business in addition to customer demand and forecast.
- Initiate and coordinate the best inventory strategy with the lowest impact on working capital and maximizing production efficiency
- Lead various different service models tailor-made for different group of customers (MTO/MTS/Express/different lead times/etc.)
- Optimize capacity utilization rates to maximize output to align with service models, including allocation of resources to effectively address long-term demand and supply balance.
- Balance the utilization of various assets as used to produce across business units
- Lead operational allocation processes in case of raw material, feedstock or capacity constraints.
- Continuous focus on improvement possibilities of replenishment performance, aggregation optimization and other planning improvements to maximize production output.
- Assure available to promise based upon agreed S&OP figures, which takes into account demand, inventory and production capacities
- Initiate actions to increase uninterrupted supply to the customers due to unplanned disruptions.
- Develop production plans based on optimal run length and production sequence for all assets across multiple sites.
- Optimize inventory mix to meet customer demand by accurately defining inventory strategies. (e.g. SS, MTO,MTI,MTA)
- Level load production facilities on quarterly basis. (4-9 months)
- Working in multifunctional / multidisciplinary / multi regional teams
- Communicate planning requirement to all areas of operations to ensure supply plan adherence.
- Continuously initiating actions to improve processes, working according to and implementing best practices
- Represent the supply chain in meetings with plant management and product management
- Communicate and align plan with Business managers and Sales team
- Participate and support Global & Regional SOP process to create optimal constrained demand plan maximizing value for business and meet goals for service, working cash and cost
- Statistically forecast SKU level demand for products to fulfill customer demand
- Analyze monthly demand plan to identify actions needed to attain and maintain lead time / service targets
What Matters to SABIC
- BS/BA Degree with 3 5 years’ experience in supply chain
- Previous experience in Demand Planning, preferable in industrial business
- Demonstrated ability to use analytical tools to solve business problems
- Proven expertise in SAP planning
- Proven communication and interpersonal/influencing skills at all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated leadership, team building, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and execute to deadlines
Desired Skill
· Experience in APO
· Supply Chain or Supply Planning experience
· Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certified
· Experience working in SABIC-IP or thermoplastics
