JOB SUMMARY        

This position develops and maintains an EHS management system and will support the completion of all activities relating to all regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.). Complies and ensuring workplace safety.

 

 How You Can Be the Impact

  • Provide support for the EHS leader and assist in overseeing safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance.

  • Conduct plant safety inspections, observations, and accident investigations.

  • Assist in improvement initiatives for the site.

  • Develop and deliver New Hire EHS training.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required; position is subject to change as the needs of the department changes.

  • Identify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend corrective measures.

  • Internal and regulatory reporting and communications.

  • Analyzes EHS performance and KPI’s established

  • Collaboration with other EHSS departments within the shared site.

What Matters to SABIC

  • B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or other related field

  • At least 3+ Years’ EHSS experience within a manufacturing environment

  • Strong working knowledge of environmental regulatory and compliance legislation and a familiarity with OSHA regulations, experience with Process Safety Management and training integration

  • Proven track record of injury prevention/control and incident rate reduction

  • Excellent leadership, change management and mentoring/coaching skills

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
