JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing daily engineering support to site Maintenance Teams.  This includes support of PM program execution, PdM program implementation, analysis of PdM data, support of Precision Maintenance program and support of technical training of craft-personnel.  The Maintenance Engineer will drive PM and spare parts inventory optimization efforts, manage maintenance procedures, conduct root cause failure analysis related to equipment failures, drive maintenance related turnaround scope development and lead identification and prioritization of long range CAPEX maintenance plans.  Responsible for ensuring regulatory safety required equipment PMs are scheduled and completed on time, Safety/EHSS requirements for maintenance jobs are properly planned (permits, deviations, work practices, etc.), own and drive closure of maintenance related MOCs/TMOCs and Risk Assessment.

 

How You Can Be the Impact

  • Provide engineering support to maintenance craft-persons
  • Lead and manage all Precision Maintenance initiatives.
  • Provide technical support related to analysis of PdM data
  • Manage and drive implementation of maintenance and reliability procedures
  • Drive execution of and continuous improvement of existing equipment maintenance strategies
  • Track and report performance related to key maintenance and reliability metrics. 
  • Oversee detailed evaluation of proposed equipment-related Turn Around activities for their area of responsibility, including review of 5 and 10 year maintenance strategies and CAPEX project planning.  

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • Bachelors or Science in Chemistry, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering or related industrial Field
  • At least 2 years working chemical industry or manufacturing related environment
  • English required, additional languages encouraged
  • Good organizational skills
  • Able to communicate well in both open presentation and written report conditions
  • Focus on analysis and problem solving

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work Monday – Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs
