Job Summary

As part of the job, employee will manage research and development projects providing proprietary solutions to address PC assets opportunities related with capacity, quality, reliability and costs among others.

 

How You Can Be the Impact

  • He/She will define, execute and manage development projects by properly aligning goals and priorities with the activities and resources required. 
    • Creates business case and communicates key information to drive technical decisions within the business unit
    • Prioritizes work streams and deadlines to manage and balance workload and intensity of technical project
    • Ensures consistent performance of products
    • Continuously assesses and addresses safety risks for himself or herself; informs program manager of potential risks to team members
  • Employee will work in a multidisciplinary setting within the Technology organization where he/she will collaborate with different disciplines in Technology, the Business and the Manufacturing environment where project approval, execution and implementation needs to be secured. 
  • Employee will develop strategies, create innovations, define manufacturing translations, and will provide subject matter expertise.
  • He/She will communicate a strategy for new developments in PC process technologies.
  • Employee will actively engage in market intelligence activities to define the technology strategy that will keep SABIC ahead of competition.

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • You are educated to university level in chemical engineering or process technology (Master or PhD), and preferably have experience in PC process technology or process engineering research or project engineering.
  • You are willing to grow your experience within process development in an industrial R&D environment with intimacy with product development work. 
  • You are a critical observer as well as a conceptual and analytical thinker. 
  • You are able to spot opportunities for existing and new processes and translate these into value propositions for the business. 
  • You are able to present your project proposals and results in a convincing manner to both business and manufacturing management. 
  • You have a strong interest in working on a project-based organization where your skills and capabilities can be used across different process and product lines. 
  • You are able to keep abreast of the state of the art in process technology and gain knowledge of associated fields and disciplines. 
  • You are a team player but you are also able to work independently on your contribution. 
  • You have a persevering and challenging attitude towards your work environment, but you can also accept other views. 
  • You have knowledge of intellectual property concepts or are willing to learn.
