Position Production Operator
Responsibilities:
Main or Key responsibilities:
- Blending
- Extrusion
- Packaging plus SHEM, EHSS and compliance
Core responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare machinery for production of compounds.
- Produce compounds including mixing and extruding.
- Package and transport finished compounds to designated areas.
- Complete all necessary data entry
- Maintain neat, orderly and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety rules and regulations.
- Follow direction from supervisor as required performing job related tasks.
- Alert supervision to product quality issues as observed.
- Provide Feedback on material processing
- Accurately weigh materials and material handling
- Provide feedback on material processing/issues related to equipment and other possible
Qualifications Required:
Education & Training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- New Grads to Two years of consistent work experience in manufacturing for Mid hires
- Knowledge of EHSS processes and practices
Competency:
- Understand and follow written instructions
- Good written skills
- Use simple hand tools
- Possess basic math skills
- Possess good computer skills
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Decision making skills
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of thermoplastic compounding
- Forklift operation license
- Floor-operated crane operation or Slinging operation license
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have the ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and to work a reasonable level of scheduled and unscheduled overtime
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must be willing to take a test as part of the selection process
- You must be willing to submit to a background check as part of the selection process
