Position       Production Operator

 

Responsibilities:

 

Main or Key responsibilities:

  • Blending
  • Extrusion
  • Packaging  plus SHEM, EHSS and compliance

 

Core responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare machinery for production of compounds.
  • Produce compounds including mixing and extruding.
  • Package and transport finished compounds to designated areas.
  • Complete all necessary data entry
  • Maintain neat, orderly and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow direction from supervisor as required performing job related tasks.
  • Alert supervision to product quality issues as observed.
  • Provide Feedback on material processing
  • Accurately weigh materials and material handling
  • Provide feedback on material processing/issues related to equipment and other possible


Qualifications Required:

 

Education & Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • New Grads to Two years of consistent work experience in manufacturing for Mid hires
  • Knowledge of EHSS processes and practices

Competency:

  • Understand and follow written instructions
  • Good written skills
  • Use simple hand tools
  • Possess basic math skills
  • Possess good computer skills
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Decision making skills

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of thermoplastic compounding 
  • Forklift operation license
  • Floor-operated crane operation or Slinging operation license

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must have the ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, and to work a reasonable level of scheduled and unscheduled overtime
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must be willing to take a test as part of the selection process
  • You must be willing to submit to a background check as part of the selection process
