Job Summary
Analyzes, interprets, and reports complex financial data, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP or IFRS standards. Key responsibilities include researching accounting guidance for revenue recognition, managing audits, preparing technical memos, and assisting with M&A.
How You Can Be the Impact
• Accounting Research & Policy: Interpret new reporting standards, prepare technical memos, and document accounting policies.
• Financial Reporting & Audit: Prepare complex financial statements, support SEC reporting readiness, and manage relationships with external auditors.
• Complex Transactions: Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) through due diligence, purchase price allocation, and post-merger integration.
• Technical Compliance: Evaluate equity/liability instruments, stock-based compensation (ASC 718), and lease agreements (ASC 842).
• Process Improvement: Develop and implement internal controls and financial systems to enhance reporting accuracy.
What Matters to SABIC
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• Expertise: Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting.
• Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and advanced MS Excel.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, research, and communication skills to explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.
