Job Purpose:

Maintains plant in a good condition to enable efficient terminal availablity and operability with minimum maintenance interruption. Carries out skilled troubleshooting, repair, corrective and preventative maintenance work (on site or in workshop), on a range of mechanical equipment and systems. Traces faults, carries out repairs on site, and undertake workshop overhaul, testing and repair.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Carry routine and corrective maintenance. Shall be authoirzed permit reciever to execute the activities when required.
  • Refers to Standard Maintenance Procedures, drawings and instruction manuals for work instruction, specifications, and proper selection of materials.
  • Arrange all tools and equipment required for the job and maintain a good condition.
  • Identifies spare parts & consumables required for the job and arrange to collect them from Warehouse
  • Carry out activities as planned and instructed by the Supervisor based on assigned priority of job and follow till successful completion. Reports supervisor/ Engineer about job progress and completion.
  • Carried out plant patrols to identify asset abnormalities. Ensures that safety and good housekeeping rules and regulations are observed. All SHEM/OMS standards will be followed & implemented.
  • Assists in other similar or related duties such as preparing daily activity report, SAP system entry, documentation etc.
  • Completion of the JQP & other assigned training certification /authorization on time.
  • Reporting near misses as observed and participates in all safety & environment related activities.
  • Preparing and assembling the mechanical equipment in accordance to drawings, parts lists, manuals and SMP.
  • Checking equipment for fit for service and correct function, in order to ensure that the equipment fulfill the job requirements as specified.
  • Documenting assembled equipment checklists and measruements in SABTANK software/databases, and reporting documentation problems.
  • Supporting site personnel in mechanical matters. Carry out basic troubleshooting, records measurements, checks and report to supervisor.

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Mechanical

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in related equipment maintenance in Petrochemical industry. 

 

Job Specific Skills:

  • Knowledge of using test equipment's and tools.
  • Knowledge of SHEM and OMS standards.
  • Authorized Permit Receiver.
