Job Purpose:
To provide technical assistance in the field of Rotating equipment’s to ensure continuous, safe and sustainable plants operation by implementing best practices and ensuring compliance to SABIC & International codes/standards.
Job Key Accountabilities:
- Effectively participate in OMS implementation to ensure proper & Safe operation for all plants and ensure full compliance to EHSS rules to achieve zero SHER.
- Efficiently execute annual objectives in-line with Company’s Vision, Mission and Objectives and ensure their accomplishment by the planned target through effectively following up and solving departmental concerns to maximize the profit margin and reduce operational cost.
- Prepare and evaluate the effectiveness of preventive and predictive maintenance/ inspection programs by utilizing the technological advancements to reduce unplanned maintenance activities and save cost.
- Preparing the list of performance killers/bad actors and prepare the respective measures as per the approved performance killer/bad actors management system.
- Carry out technical studies/asset’s performance evaluation/root cause failure analysis to support plant operations and maintenance during normal plant operations and shutdowns to ensure mechanical integrity of the rotating machinery and enhance safe plant production.
- Work with SABIC (CoE) as key member to technically support other SABIC affiliate and benchmark, adopt best maintenance, inspection & improvement practices.
- Assist project development by design review, engineering Specs & codes compliance, Technical Evaluation of contractor’s bids. FATs.
- Utilize the Asset Performance Management (APM) tool effectively and evaluate various performance indicators and enhance reliability improvement strategies.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
10 years of experience in technical, engineering and maintenance of rotating assets in petrochemical industries.
Job Specific Skills/Competencies:
- Thorough knowledge of RCM, RCA, PHA, Risk Assessment Methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, impact assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of project development management.
- Familiar to rotating assets technical knowledge, vibration diagnostic, oil analysis & troubleshooting.
- Familiar to international codes & standard (API, ISO, NFPA, ASME..etc.) & SABIC internal standards & procedures (SMS, SES, OMS..etc.).
- Excellent engineering concept.
- Excellent communication, Computer, and interpersonal skills.
- Safety and reliability oriented.
- Ability to advance his knowledge in rotating assets fields.
- Ability in resolving rotating assets technical threats, chronic issues & bad actor.
- Ability to develop Rotating maintenance strategies & TAM scope.
- Excellent team player.
- Full knowledge of API-610, API-611, API-612, API-613, API-614, API-617, API-670, API-673, API-682, API- 684, API-686, API-692. Good knowledge of NDT, metallurgy, leadership & Proficient in problem solving.
Work Availability
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work (e.g. Sunday – Thursday) during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
