Job Purpose:

 

To provide technical support to Production and Maintenance for unsolved routine rotating issue, shutdown/turnaround inspections on rotating equipment, support maintenance to promote mechanical integrity, safety & reliability of rotating equipment.

 

Job Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Participate with subject matter expert in reliability methodologies (RCM, RBI and RIS).
  • Develop, monitor and revise plant rotating equipment maintenance strategies to ensure and enhance the integrity and reliability of rotating equipment.
  • To Perform Reliability improvement study in Machinery discipline considering the chronic issues, repeated failures, obsolescence and improvements.
  • Ensure integrity and reliability of equipment covered under Capital projects and Management of Change (MOC) as per national and international standards.
  • Review Bad Actor list (rotating equipment), analyze the problems/issues and provide recommendations to ensure and enhance asset reliability
  • Conducts root cause analysis for machinery equipment failure and recommends/follows-up subsequent actions to implement corrective actions based on analysis results
  • SABIC ATC SMS, Best practices, Performance killer, Bad actors resolution plan and technical alerts recommendations implementation

 

Minimum Education: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Machinery Vibration Analyst certification is desirable

 

Minimum Experience: 

 

  • 5 years of experience in the field of rotating machinery under technical support, Inspection, Maintenance functions in a large Chemical, Fertilizers, Petrochemical complex.

 

 

Job Specific Skills/Competencies:

 

  • Machinery equipment expertise
  • Machinery trouble shooting skills.
  • Computer skills: Familiar with P.C. & knowledge of SAP.
  • Thorough knowledge of rotating/reciprocating equipment failure analysis, inspection/ testing procedures, trouble shooting and condition monitoring.
  • Fully conversant with engineering codes, standards, regulations and practices followed in petrochemical industries
  • Problem solving and Trouble-shooting skills.
  • Analytical skills.

  • Self-motivation

 

 

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work (e.g. Sunday – Thursday) during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
