Job Purpose:

  • Provides continued implementation and leadership for APM studies and Equipment Reliability Improvement process at Saudi Kayan. To cover all plants equipment as leader/Principal engineer for all Reliability related activities. Lead and coordinate with SMEs and team members as per New OMS-411 Asset Strategy& New OMS-441 performance reporting, Analysis & defect Elimination. Work as focal point for Reliability related Activities, to Ensure the implementation & Effectiveness of methodology recommendations, . Engage in charting out APM yearly plan with PMT Chairman & SME’s. Supporting PMT as Principal engineer, Reliability to enhance reliability & integrity culture. Shall be responsible for driving the improvement of plant reliability and championing the continued move from reactive to proactive maintenance.Ensure quality and safety standards are adhered-to in accordance with SHEM and applicable local & International Standards.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead Reliability Initiatives: Drive the implementation of reliability improvement processes and initiatives, such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and manage their implementation within systems like SAP and Meridium.
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor system and equipment performance by analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and asset utilization
  • Failure Analysis and Prevention: Lead site-wide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts for significant failures to develop and implement long-term engineering solutions and preventative actions.
  • Develop and Optimize Maintenance Strategies (PM optimization): Develop, review, and optimize maintenance plans and procedures, including preventative and predictive maintenance programs and condition monitoring tasks.
  • Technical Support and Guidance: Provide expert technical support and guidance to production, maintenance management, and project teams, including evaluating technical waivers and conducting technical assurance audits
  • Project Management Support: Work with project engineering to ensure reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations are embedded during the design phase (Reliability in Design - RID) & IALA(Integrated asset life assessment tools.
  • Training and Mentorship: Conduct awareness sessions and deliver technical training programs for engineers and frontline staff on reliability methodologies and initiatives

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument or Reliability Engineering

 

Minimum Experience:

 

  • Minimum 8 years of experience

 

 

Job Specific Skills:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in reliability analysis and modeling techniques, including RCM, FMECA, and statistical analysis software.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) like SAP and reliability software databases (e.g., Meridium).
  • Expertise in failure analysis, root cause analysis(RCA), and condition monitoring techniques.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities to influence decisions and mentor teams.
  • Project management expertise.
  • A focus on continuous improvement and the ability to work with diverse, cross-functional teams.

 

 

 

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work (e.g. Sunday – Thursday) during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
