Job Purpose:

Organizes, develops and maintains the maintenance planning section to be the control point of maintenance service application. Provides data, statistic and analysis of maintenance performance parameters for continuing self-audit of department performance. Inputs completed work order and equipment data into SAP, maintains outstanding work order records, reports work status and equipment other data to ensure up to date information and on-time availability. Controls all plans and technical studies for equipment reliability to reduce maintenance downtime and provide overall monitoring manpower utilization, spare parts and inventory optimization.

Provides technical support to assigned maintenance crews in the repair and preventive maintenance of equipment and control systems.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Reviews the overall maintenance planning activities for all plants and facilities to control the application of maintenance resources to result in improved plant reliability and extended period of uninterrupted operation. Manages the preventive maintenance work orders. Audits SAP system for high-cost maintenances equipment’s & suggests tools for controlling.
  • Prepares a complete scope of work based on technical inputs through M3 notifications with required resources (materials, manpower & services) and completing assigned work. Ensures challenging plans for the job to have more efficient application of maintenance resources and less negative impact on operations of the plant.
  • Administrates weekly / biweekly meetings along with the area Planners with operations, other in-house costumers & maintenances to review pending notifications, work orders in the SAP systems. Suggests operations & other in-house costumers for enhancing of quality of notifications & clarifies them the reason(s) for pending work orders with the corrective actions taken with target date of completions.
  • Assists in preparation of development and implementation of the manpower plan, annual budget. objectives and training, resolving day-to-day maintenance planning problems, preparing manuals as required and optimization of materials, cost reduction and safety issues. Assists turnaround team in preparation of annual TA of unit or complex & takes a lead role for impletion of plan during execution.
  • Audits the pending notifications & WO in the SAP systems. Advised the Field Planners to take corrective actions. Also advised the Maintenance/
  • Inspections Supdts. for the correctives actions to be taken by the respective Maintenance/ Inspection Supervisors in connection to the best utilization of SAP system. computerized software and support for maintenance planning. Audits cost reports for both materials & services & suggests tools for proper controls. Takes corrective actions not to re-occur the pending work orders for the same reasons specially due to shortage of materials. In this connection advises the concern section for creation of new materials, correction of material MRP type, levels, correction of material descriptions for not to have wrong material delivered. indigenizes the general spares with local resources to reduce inventory, cost & lead time. Audits Maintenance KPI as defined by SABIC & suggests corrective actions for improvements. Audits, adjusts and monitors Preventive Maintenance plans and schedules. Coordinates with concerned sections regarding proper scheduling of preventive maintenance activities. Targets to have zero pending Preventive Maintenance work orders (PM03). Escalates PM non conformances to concern operations sections for making waivers.
  • Performs other duties such as preparing periodic reports, ensuring observations of total quality management standards requirements, checking material availability in the SAP system, providing general support to planners and Supervisors in assigned area, analyzing equipment failure reports, plant reliability reports, cost control ideas, carrying out site visits to estimate and follow up on work orders.
  • Administrates the planning functions such as the coordination between maintenance and operation departments, Maintenance/ Planning Business procedures implementation like notification, emergency jobs, emergency SD procedures in line with SABIC SAP procedures. Reviews all Maintenance/ Planning Business procedures as per assigned frequencies & suggests improvements to his supervisor. Validates BOM & task lists in SAP system.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrument Engineering.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 5 Years of experience in Engineering/ Maintenance in petrochemicals industry.

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work (e.g. Sunday – Thursday) during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
