Job Purpose

 

To support daily operations, which includes troubleshooting, plant optimization, equipment resources, debottlenecking, equipment commissioning, and production loss accounting. Maximize plant production and ensure achievement of daily production plan. Provide the required technical support to plants as per SOP and OMS procedures to produce GAS products at high quality level and as per the production plan and targets. To conduct troubleshooting for any plant abnormal condition or low productivity. Fully responsible for plant production performance monitoring. To initiate DCRs and TSRs for plant EHSS, Quality Production, Sustainability improvement. To prepare action plans and follow up for closing all HAZOP, HLVI and other recommendations. To work in parallel with the business planning to achieve the production plan and targets and other related issues. To work in parallel with the process engineering department and discuss the equipment monthly performance and related issues. Work on operating the plants on the most optimum modes from variable cost point of view using the different tools.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Troubleshooting and debottlenecking of unit operations and related equipment including identifying the problem source. Evaluate alternatives and suggest solutions and improvements.
  • Maintain regular daily communication with operations personnel and assist in commissioning of new equipment and other unit/control modifications.
  • Review unit-operating data, conducts daily unit routine checks, visual inspection, and report abnormalities.
  • Coordinate modification implementation. Plan and coordinate all activities prior to, during and after unit shutdowns & turnaround.
  • Participate in area HAZOP, JSA, RCA activities as assigned. Participate in conducting PSSR as assigned. Participate in Q-Pulse procedures as required
  • Maintains statistical process control (or similar methods) monitoring of all major plant process and makes recommendations for proper process and operation. Monitors the quality of production, check daily last 24 hours activities as per approval procedure. Modifies such procedures, as necessary. Participates in different task forces that involve more than one department to improve quality performance.
  • Investigates quality failure on a day-to-day basis. Monitors, investigates, and ensures that follow up actions are completed for the quality failure reports. Carries out all quality audits (internal/ external), as assigned, and develops plans for “Corrective Action Reports”. Follow up on completion of corrective actions.
  • Assist area Section Manager to prioritize and setup shutdown – start up activities plan. Screen Design Change Request (DCR) before initial approval by the Senior Manager / Section Manager. Follow up with assigned contact Engineers on DCR evaluation. Attend MOC meeting as MOC committee member, if assigned. Monitor progress of MOCs and TSRs.
  • Initiate action on issues, which impede the satisfactory progress of Operations activities. Ensure that project issues that can potentially affect plant-operating plans are being captured appropriately. Review revised plans for project implementation. Checking and approve the plan prior to start-up for conformance to specifications, drawing, design intent, safety, and operability (PSSR). Prepare change lists and but lists for corrections from PSSR.
  • Highlights weekly and monthly events concerning EHSS, production, quality, and special events in a report to Plant Senior manager. Follows daily production to maximize quality and production. Participates in developing Plant production schedule.

 

 

Requirements & Minimum Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or Equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in the relevant field.

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work (e.g. Sunday – Thursday) during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
