Job Purpose:
Review / develop and assess tank, pipeline, PSV, vessel inspection plan and ensure optimum recommendation generated based on findings from inspection. Review and optimize RBI generated scope based on asset history, criticality and regulations. Ensure compliance to SABIC SMS, BP and TA. To ensure/Audit inspection activity performed by inspector follows work instruction (ST level II & III), procedures and engineering best practice.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure all inspection / PM tasks are completed on time. Keep a record of all inspection activities on equipment for future reference.
- Generate inspection & technical reports as required. Provide technical clarifications on queries relating to spares from time to time.
- Ensure compliance to SHEM requirement as assigned to him.
- Ensure implementation and compliance to all Meridium requirements as applicable. Coordinate tasks with other Maintenance, Operations, P & S, other users and warehouse as appropriate. Ensure that inspectors coordinate job assignments to utilize employee time efficiency by close monitoring and follow-up on job progress.
- Report overdue recommendations/tasks as defects.
- Provide technical awareness training to enhance technical knowledge for newcomers.
- Participate in Pre-Start-up EHSS Review/Walkthrough before Equipment Commissioning as per SHEM 06.
- Establish and maintain acceptable safety standards and is responsible and accountable for the safety and safety training of his personnel.
- Review and comment on plant engineering jobs assigned to his area. Update equipment history as and when necessary.
- Carry out specific tasks assigned by Management from time to time such as participating in PHA/PSSR/RCA, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachler Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Education.
Minimum Experience:
- 5 - 10 years' experience in similar position in Process, Fertilizer, Petrochemical Industry or Refine.
Job Specific Skills:
- Broad experience in Petrochemical/Fertilizer Plant or Refinery Equipment.
- Thorough knowledge of inspection activities & maintenance planning with the ability to create and implement inspection systems.
- Knowledge in international codes & standards especially on advanced technology, corrosion & metallurgy.
- Knowledge of SAP and Meridium APM preferred
- Continuous drive towards learning development.
Job Specific Competencies:
- Thorough knowledge of safety, health and environmental aspects associated with the inspection and maintenance activities.
- Good decision making and time management skills.
- Good presentation skills, effective verbal and written skills & interacts effectively with all levels of the organization on technical topics.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Work Availability
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work (e.g. Sunday – Thursday) during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
