Job Purpose:

 

Provide Technical Support / ideas to improve plant control system performance minimize DCS alarm , ensure DCS security , and increase plant data availability through efficient and effective response

 

Job Key Accountabilities:

 

  • To Perform Reliability improvement studies in the Control system disciplines considering the chronic issues, repeated failures, obsolescence, upgrading and improvements.
  • Adapt best practice   & SMS to AR-Razi work process 
  • Drive Maintenance Strategies through recommendations from APM Methodologies
  • Initiate and implement reliability improvement projects/retrofits to enhance plant reliability
  • Effectively support company programs on safety, quality, environment, change management etc Keep up to date with state-of-the-art technology related to Control system 
  • Participate in ATC Domain member & SMS reviewing as matter expert
  • To ensure active participation and input from I&C for the major company activities such as Turn Around scope preparation ,  Turn Around activities, Emergency Shutdown, MOCs, etc.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and make appropriate recommendations

 

 

Minimum Education: 

 

Bachelor’s degree in Control system Engineering

 

Minimum Experience: 

 

5-10 years working experience in technical support position in Hydrocarbon processing industry

    • Experience of SHEM related requirements.
    • Experience of SABIC DCS system standard &internarial standard.
    • Expert in management system development procedures, work instructions, checklists, and form
    • Experience with SABIC MCE Domain
    • Basic Knowledge & understand for SABIC reliability program
    • Experience with Project Management methodologies
    • Highly developed interpersonal and communications skills
    • Economical understanding, systematic approach
    • Analytical, proactive, methodical, chronological, and open-minded approach.
    • Prefer high technical background in one of the following disciplines: Control system / Electronics

 

 

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work (e.g. Sunday – Thursday) during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
