Job Purpose:
Actively support the specific goal of assuring civil and structural assets remain fit for purpose until the project end of field life by providing technical support and developing equipment integrity strategy. Analyze the chronic failures and conduct technical studies with proposed solutions for such failures. This position is also responsible for improving proactive strategies by triggering the need for review existing APM proactive strategies and by optimizing PM strategies based upon the previous PM findings.
Job Key Accountabilities:
- Carryout investigation, inspection and do failure analysis to pinpoint the problem against any un expected breakdown in the plant, prepare study report with recommendation and do coordination with maintenance and operation related to civil and steel structure including coating and painting system.
- Technical evaluation and inspection of RTR/FRP/GRP pipelines in underground all piping system.
- Cost estimation of civil related plant support services for budget approval by SHARQ management.
- Assume the role as CDTL for civil related MOCs and participate in CDP preparation for other discipline MOC as applicable.
- As well as, completing technical review of E&PM project documents at different stages.
- TAM scope review and support during execution for the civil assets concrete and steel structures including waster ponds, sumps, sea water ponds, dikes and cooling Tower.
- Ensure immediate technical support with recommendation related to any unexpected findings during TAM execution period.
- Provide technical support to maintenance departments as and when needed during event of major maintenance and complex troubleshooting related to civil and structural assets.
- Participate in assigned RBI/RCM assessment as a team member and review PM strategy for plant assets.
- Participate in or utilize SABIC MFG CoE virtual domains to supports in particular special topic /subject related to civil structures, Sea water ponds, sumps and cooling Tower, underground seawater PCCP stationary equipment as required.
- Ensure completion of inspection and recommendation as per assign PM Schedule of civil assets.
- The corrective action inspection to attended as per ITP to ensure the QA/QC including fireproofing of structure and refractory works.
Minimum Education:
BS Degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the relevant field
Job Specific Skills/Competencies:
- Experience in refinery/ petrochemicals industry is preferable.
- Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge in integrity analysis tools and methodologies for civil assets.
- Knowledge in international codes & standards related to civil.
- Knowledge of SAP and Meridium APM preferred.
- Continuous drive towards learning, developing, growing and improving.

Work Availability
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work (e.g. Sunday – Thursday) during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
