Job Summary:

 

Senior Accountant is primarily responsible to support proper and timely execution of accounting & finance operations of SABIC Turkey Sales Office in compliance with Turkish legislations and company policies. The position will be reporting to Finance and Accounting Manager. 

 

 

Job Purpose & Responsibilities:

As part of the team, you will be responsible:

  • Perform general accounting activities including but not limited to A/P, A/R, Bank transactions.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of General Ledger account balances.
  • Manage E-invoice, E-achieve and E-ledger systems.
  • Ensure timely and proper filing and payment of all types of periodical tax returns.
  • Execute cash flow operations and ensure payments are paid on timely manner.
  • Assist in preparation of complete, accurate, properly presented financial statements.
  • Support the preparation and periodical reporting of company budget.
  • Assist in the development/update of company’s accounting and financial policies and procedures.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or taxation roles
  • CPA certification or equivalent professional qualification is a plus.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Turkish language
  • Technical knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and financial data analyze.
  • Knowledge of Turkish Tax Regulations 
  • Previous work experience in an audit firm is a plus.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Well-organized, excellent team player and positive and positive attitude.
  • Effective communication skills to build good relations with internal/external stakeholders and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a global organization. 
  • Experience with SAP (preferred)
  • Proficient in MS-Office programs
