Job Summary:
Senior Accountant is primarily responsible to support proper and timely execution of accounting & finance operations of SABIC Turkey Sales Office in compliance with Turkish legislations and company policies. The position will be reporting to Finance and Accounting Manager.
Job Purpose & Responsibilities:
As part of the team, you will be responsible:
- Perform general accounting activities including but not limited to A/P, A/R, Bank transactions.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of General Ledger account balances.
- Manage E-invoice, E-achieve and E-ledger systems.
- Ensure timely and proper filing and payment of all types of periodical tax returns.
- Execute cash flow operations and ensure payments are paid on timely manner.
- Assist in preparation of complete, accurate, properly presented financial statements.
- Support the preparation and periodical reporting of company budget.
- Assist in the development/update of company’s accounting and financial policies and procedures.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or taxation roles
- CPA certification or equivalent professional qualification is a plus.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Turkish language
- Technical knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and financial data analyze.
- Knowledge of Turkish Tax Regulations
- Previous work experience in an audit firm is a plus.
Competencies and Skills:
- Well-organized, excellent team player and positive and positive attitude.
- Effective communication skills to build good relations with internal/external stakeholders and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a global organization.
- Experience with SAP (preferred)
- Proficient in MS-Office programs
