JOB SUMMARY

The Intern will closely work with all areas of the Intercompany(IC) organization as well as key internal customers such as Financial Closing, Controllership, Treasury/Tax Operation, Supply Chain. Responsible for intercompany accounting requests, ensures proper and accurate IC AR and AP accounting, and supports IC payment settlement, assists month end closing process.

 

How You Can Be the Impact

  • Support all Americas Intercompany end-to-end process issues, with the primary focus on ensuring the on-time IC invoice input and accurate payment cycle.
  • Research and analyze the GR/IR account for the Americas and assist in timely resolution of items by partnering with SCM and Inventory
  • Support Americas Intercompany account reconciliations are accurately reported and ensure they are completed on time for month end, quarter points and year end closings.
  • Monitor aged item resolution maintaining America Intercompany Compliance Standards
  • Partner and collaborate globally with upstream/downstream functions driving intercompany related system issue resolution.
  • Work effectively in a global virtual team delivering value by driving constant improvement that fits into global intercompany operation model.
  • Support Intercompany Reporting as requested KPIs, Aging, Account Analysis
  • Support Internal and External audits on an as needed basis.

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • Pursuing a Business Degree in Finance or Accounting with a 3.0/4.0 GPA
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
  • Self-motivated and results oriented
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
