Job Summary

Lead the Business development and business improvement across the business unit and functional matrix that will impact the ROCE metrics through the Americas Leadership Council (ALC) group.

Support the Americas Business Development Leader to deliver external (‘inorganic’) growth opportunities for the AMR Region SBUs in line with the regional strategy, facilitating idea generation & executing/closing of projects in the areas of portfolio optimization & expansion, asset optimization, vertical integration, New Journey regional synergies & knowledge management in the assigned geography.

Lead KSA Nusaned 2030 topics and facilitate ALC on New Journey regional topics.

 

How You Can Be the Impact

  • Support the AMR Business Development & Strategic Processes Leader, partnering with SBUs Strategic (Industry Marketing, Product Management and T&I) as well as Tactical (Commercial, Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing) and Functional (Procurement, Corporate T&I) leadership teams to define opportunities for profitable business growth beyond existing offerings
  • Participate and proactively contribute to key AMR Region strategic planning sessions and workshops to determine opportunity spaces: help analyze and map attractive market spaces to determine potential areas of synergy with Aramco and Motiva, opportunities of investments, co-investments and collaboration.
  • Project management of potential & active projects, leading an internal team to work through the Business Development/M&A tollgate process
  • Provide expertise in critical portfolio, operations and industry knowledge
  • Participate in the Competitive analysis activities that help identify opportunities as well as benchmark our performance in the industry
  • Support the AMR Business Development Leader on internal and external relationships and alignment with BD/M&A Advisory Team members, Regional commercial leaders, SABIC HQ M&A, SABIC HQ Strategy & Planning, SABIC Corporate T&I, investment banks, private equity companies and industry organizations to drive opportunities

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • BS/BA/MS Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive Chemical Engineering, T&I, Business Development or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience and / or individual contributor as SME
