Job Summary

SABIC is seeking a strong detailed focused and self-motivated paralegal to join our Americas Legal Affairs group.  Located in Houston, Texas the Americas Legal Affairs team supports the Americas 17 sites and operations in a wide variety of legal needs.

 

How You Can Be the Impact

  • Support all counsel in the AMR region on commercial non-disclosure agreements, amendments to agreements, automation of legal support, contract life cycle management, creation and implementation of training, real estate matters, etc.
  • Manage the U.S. and Canada entities corporate governance matters (including filing of annual reports, resolutions, powers of attorney).
  • Manage corporate records including training on use of the company's records management tools and external storage facilities. Legal department focal point for Know Your Customer inquiries.
  • Assist attorneys with engagement letters and management of outside counsel. Assist with litigation hold requests and document management.
  • Assist with M&A and Growth Project activities including due diligence, data room, closing books, document review.

 

What Matters to SABIC

    • Paralegal certificate
    • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in legal support of commercial transactions,   construction and growth projects, corporate functions and compliance, experience with joint ventures, divestures or M&A legal support is desired.
    • Corporate Governance Experience
    • Training development and support skills are preferred
    • Strong focus on simple and effective problem solving to achieve business objectives.
    • Contracts Administration Experience
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent team player and relationship builder.
