Job Summary

This role provides subject matter expertise for the administration, design, service & delivery of retirement benefits and programs to employees and other plan participants. These benefits include, but are not limited to, qualified and non-qualified defined benefit pension, qualified and non-qualified defined contribution and deferred compensation. Responsibilities include managing the administration, design, service & delivery, eligibility determination, enrollment, customer service, vendors and regulatory compliance. The role has a heavy focus on U.S employee benefits with expanding involvement across Americas Region.

 

How You Can Be the Impact

  • Support future plan design and development of company’s retirement benefits and programs.
  • Benchmark the business’ cost performance and designs vs. external industry trends.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on assigned employee benefits including operational considerations to successfully deliver the benefits and programs.
  • Drive efforts to develop strategic initiatives and programs to manage cost, evaluate benefit design alternatives, and determine employee and participant impact working closely with cross-functional team members.
  • Analyzes benefit costs and trends to identify key cost drivers and recommend actions.
  • Support company's mergers & acquisitions efforts and other project work.
  • Manage assigned suppliers and vendors including leading the vendors efforts to the company’s enrollment process.
  • Serve as business contact for escalated issues related to assigned plans/vendors. 
  • Partner with vendors to develop and execute sustained financial wellbeing/education strategy for particiants that emphasizes the EVP, understanding and appreciation of wealth accumulation programs that results in a best in class employee experience.
  • Provide subject matter expertise during supplier/vendor procurement processes.
  • Manage employee and participant regulatory communications including writing and maintaining summary plan descriptions and modifications.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of assigned benefit plans.

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, health, social sciences, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in similar fields a plus.
  • 7 years minimum experience in employee benefits, human resources, and/or compensation with an emphasis on retirement benefits and programs.
  • Experience in supplier management, negotiations and sourcing processes. 
  • Broad knowledge of federal and state laws related to the administration of employee benefits.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills and strong presentation skills.
