Job Summary
SABIC is seeking dynamic and motivated students to join our Supply Chain Internship Program onsite in Houston, TX. This internship offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the supply chain field, particularly focusing on logistics operations. Interns will engage in day-to-day activities, contributing to key projects while learning valuable skills that will impact real-world logistics operations.
This role will provide exposure to an assigned logistics operations role in one of three operations (marine, rail & bulk truck, or road & warehouse), data-driven decision-making and process improvement initiatives within a global organization.
How To Be The Impact
- Support assigned operational teams by working directly with carriers for ocean, road, or rail; brokers; warehouse providers and suppliers involved in import/export or domestic operations.
- Monitor and assist shipment status of assigned operational role forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time shipments.
- Assist in disputing freight charges, accessorial fees, and other logistics costs to ensure accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal team to develop and refine best-in-class documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in import/export processes.
- Support other ad hoc requests to meet business needs.
- Facilitate or participate of periodic (daily, weekly and monthly) transportation operations review meetings to review metrics and KPIs, and to generate actions to meet targets.
- Identify, lead or support transportation cost out and productivity projects through implementation, dashboards, and corresponding metrics.

- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong presentation and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Eager to learn and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Sophomore though Senior level undergraduates and current graduate students are preferred.
- Must be able to commit to a 12 month internship.
- Preferred GPA: 3.0/4.0.
