Job Summary

As an intern, you will receive on the job training, as well as exposure to different parts of the business and the other finance functions at our Houston location. Our function is global, therefore you will work cooperatively with the group of Reporting and Analysis, which covers Europe, AMR and APAC. In this role you will analyze and interpret the variance analysis, enable other corporate finance functions to understand the cause behind the variances, assist the team with ad hoc projects and help identify and execute opportunities to improve systems and processes.

  • Attend meetings and calls to work with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings with the opportunity to expand knowledge base and work on a variety of issues.
  • Participate in problem solving activities and utilize research skills. 

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • Must be enrolled in a Finance, Accounting, Business, or other undergraduate or graduate degree program (required)
  • Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Software
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, written/oral communication skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform tasks timely and precisely

 

Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
