JOB PURPOSE

Drive market development and technical support for SABIC PE, PP, ETP, Elastomers products in assigned region / territory and markets / segments by developing opportunities for create new markets, new customers, expanding customer applications, offering innovative and value based solutions through collaboration with value chain (including brand owners, OEM, machine manufacturers, converters, universities, research laboratories, government agencies, industry associations, etc.) and internal stakeholders (businesses, sales, technology, manufacturing affiliates, product stewardship, etc.), as well as providing satisfactory technical support including assist trail and manage after sales technical support. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Market Development:

• Develop and execute market development strategies for Vietnam. Identify new business opportunities applications, and end-use industries including potential differentiation product offering. Work closely with sales teams to support new customer development, product positioning, and technical promotion including product training, product brochure, and/other marketing material. Deliver technical seminar / training to Sales teams and external customers.                                                                  
• Collaborate with technology, business and other related functions to develop innovative and differentiated solutions / offerings, including new products, new applications and new customers. Identify opportunities for external collaboration (with e.g. brand owners, OEM, machine manufacturers, converters, universities, research laboratories, government agencies, industry associations, etc.) for joint development.
• Conduct customer trials to validate product performance and optimize processing conditions. Recommend suitable formulations, material selection, and processing parameters based on customer application and requirements. Preparate technical reports, trial summaries, and application recommendations.
• Lead the development of Asia Industry Roadmap for high priority industries. Conduct market study and collect feedback on product quality and competitors, and market intelligence in assigned region / territory. Analyze assigned industries by understanding industry trends and challenges, value chain, regulatory landscape and identifying the right functional domains for further assessment.   

Technical Support:

• Enhance customer satisfactory by providing effective support and trouble-shooting. Handle customer complaint by conducting root cause analysis, coordinating with internal teams, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.                                           
• Resolve technical problems / complaints; provide evidence to support final justification / compensation to technical complaints. Ensure timely and professional response to technical inquiries and after-sales support.                          

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry or related disciplines is preferred. 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in polyolefin, plastics, polymers, packaging, or petrochemicals market development or technical support.                                               
• Good strategic, creative thinking and strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills is an added advantange.
• Ability to work independently and travel for business is required. 
• Strong understanding of polyolefin and engineering thermoplastics products, applications, and processing technologies is strongly preferred. 
• Proficiency in English and Vietnamese language are a must.
