SABIC GSK is looking for a Werk Student to join our vibrant site in GSK, Germany

 

The global HR organization is built around 3 pillars and 4 regions (Americas, Asia, Europe and MEA)

 

The first pillar is the team of HR strategic business partners enabling SABIC transformation by collaborating with & influencing business leaders to develop the corporate strategy, identifying HR solutions with the broader HR function to deliver on the talent priorities.

 

The second pillar is the team of regionally organized HR operations with the focus on driving operational processes in the employ lifecycle like payroll, on boarding, staffing, training and reporting in line with the business strategy, legal requirements and labor relations.

 

The third pillar is the global team of People and Organization. This team focus on policies and tools regarding e.g. leadership and people development, organizational effectiveness, C&B, talent solutions and talent acquisition. All these pillars work in close cooperation in the value creation framework, the interlinked HR processes.

 

DEPARTMENT

Corporate Human Resources – Manufacturing site Gelsenkirchen – HR Service Center

 

SABIC GSK is looking for a Werk Student to join our vibrant site in GSK, Germany

 

This role reports to the Manager, HR Service Center

 

JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Supporting Service Center with various tasks such as:

 

  • Payroll support
  • Audit support
  • Systems support (Success Factors, SAP etc)
  • Processes and Recruitment Support (screening documents etc)
  • Documentation preparation for Works Counsel(s)

 

The opportunity for this student to interact with local stakeholders (in German) and some regional-global stakeholders on a regular basis (in English and German)

 

  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or other systems essential

 

Essential: German and English language

 

GSK – max 20 hours per week (as per local regulations)

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

  • Ability to influence SABIC Europe and Global Partner(s)
  • Ability to balance supportive/steering activities at Site and European level (in Manufacturing)
  • Ability to work and influence in multi-cultural, diverse Global Community whilst aligning with local and global policy and legal directives
  • Ability to promote local and global corporate values

 

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree or Equivalent in Manufacturing, Human Resources, Management and/or related degree
  • Must be registered at a German University or College Institution
  • Excellent Conceptual, Communication and Analytical Skills
  • Fluency (both written and Oral) in German and English (any additional languages a bonus)
  • Excellent presentation and network skills
  • Proficiency in IT/various connecting IT systems such as Office, SAP, reporting, etc

 

Location: Gelsenkirchen, Germany 

It is a requirement that the selected student should visit and work out of the GSK site on a regular basis.
