Inside of the scope of Maintenance Speciality Electrical are all the plants of SABIC Geleen on the location Chemelot namely for Polymers: PPF3/6, HDPE LD3/4, LDPE S16/S17 and for C&I: OLE4 and Logistics C&I and Down Stream Units. Maintenance Speciality Electrical is a central organised department with three engineers working centralized and ten Technicians working decentralized in the different plants. The Top Technicians and Technicians are working in two decentralized teams, under two Supervisors; one for C&I and one for Polymers.

The mission of Maintenance Speciality Electrical is to assure the continuity of the electrical power supply of the plants and being free of interference of the many different electrical users, by supplying professional resources and support of the short term (inspections and troubleshooting) and long term (improvement) goals of the plants, projects and turnarounds. In your job you work in close cooperation with Operations and contractors.

To be well equipped for the long term the department is looking for Top Technician Electrical.

JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as Top Technician, you are designated accordance with EN50110 as Work Responsible for one or more of our plants. In this role you are responsible for the safety during electrical work of the people working in the plants assigned to you.

You are responsible for the planning of preventive maintenance and inspections, and commissioning (PSSR) of new or modified installations. You also carry out minor repairs resulting from the inspections and will also be deployed to detect and fix occurring malfunctions.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Electrical; Power Engineering and, motors and drives
• Level 4 conform European Qualification Framework (EQF).

• 9-12 years of relevant experience working in an ATEX environment.
• You have good Dutch and English language skills.
• You have good technical and professional skills and your have safety awareness is high.
• You show initiative, are analytical and result driven. 
• You can handle stressful situations, have no nine to five mentality and love the hectic that belongs to manufacturing.
• You like teamwork with people of different backgrounds and like to challenge existing boundaries.
