Lead Engineer, Project Development


As Project Development Engineer, he/she supports the development of mega projects and major site projects executed by E&PM Europe. He/she will be part of the Project Development Team and reporting to Sr. Manager Project Development & Technical Assurance. For the mega and major site projects, he/she will support the project owner during CDP creation. For mega projects, he/she will execute the E&PM Project Engineer responsibilities during the project development phases Asses & Select. Within the Europe region, he/she will be the regional focal point for site projects for which Value Assurance (VAR) is applicable and coordinate with the GPA-CoE team.

He/she will interact with the owners project team (Manufacturing/T&I/SBU), E&PM Project Portfolio Managers, GPA-CoE and other project stakeholders during the early stage of the project.



  • Develop mega and major site projects according to E&PM systems and processes.
  • Represent E&PM as Project Engineering in mega project during the development phase.
  • Support Manufacturing/T&I/SBU project owner in CDP development, on request.
  • Interact with project stakeholders for assisting the project according the gating deliverables requirements
  • Leverage expertise across Europe sites
  • Regional focal point for VAR/GPA-CoE matters.



  • University degree in Engineering, Process background is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional Certification by PMI is preferred
  • Fluent in English language (conversation and writing)



  • At least 15 years of experience in petrochemical or industrial environment
  • At least 10 years of project and engeering management experience
  • Good knowledge and experience of the project development and execution processes
  • General knowledge of and experience with various kinds of project disciplines and expertise in project management



  • Good knowledge of policies, procedures and best practices through the Europe region.
  • Good knowledge of local safety and environmental regulations and other government requirements.
  • Good analytical skills and being persuasive based on knowledge and convincing arguments
  • Ability to translate technical and project management skills into business profit.
  • Effective interpersonal relations, team player
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Sound planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and time management
  • Ability to work in a multi-national/cultural environment
