How You Can Be the Impact

  • Ensuring the technical integrity and availability of plant assets related to Instrumentation.
  • Taking responsibility for the long-term maintenance strategy of Instrumentation equipment within the Polymers Cluster (preventive maintenance).
  • Ensure compliance with all requirements related to the License to Operate (both internal and external regulations), ensure compliance with regulatory inspection requirements.
  • Define necessary improvement, replacement, and upgrade projects; responsible for Asset Life Planning of Instrumentation equipment and independently scoping of investment projects to guarantee long term equipment reliability (CAPEX).
  • Taking responsibility for budget motivations for the projects and driving them during engineering and execution.
  • Lead / participate in the implementation of Instrumentation related methodologies e.g. design and execution verifications of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
  • Contribute technical expertise in root cause methods (RCA) and/or lead a Root Cause Analysis.
  • Evaluate the safety of technical changes in the plants by MOC and HAZOP.

 

 

What Matters to SABIC

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering.
  • At least 5, preferably 10 years of relevant experience in a similar position in industry or willing to follow an Instrumentation Engineer training as soon as possible.
  • Show ownership and are eager to reach the agreed results.
  • Able to quickly master new issues like working methods, technologies, etc.
  • Able to take the lead to achieve a goal.
  • Able to closely cooperate with relevant counterparts in Maintenance, Operations, our global expertise center as well as affiliates.
  • Able to speak and write English and Dutch, or willing to learn as soon as possible.
