Job Summary
Responsible for improving electrical distribution reliability through the development and implementation of a predictive and preventive systems maintenance process.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute analytical and troubleshooting skills to address electrical systems issues. Conduct root cause analysis to improve system reliability.
- Provide technical reliability direction to key stakeholders.
- Develop and deploy methodology to monitor and reduce electrical system failures.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for power systems and power distribution across the site.
- Consult in the development of projects for improvements and expansions and support equipment repairs.
- Support the technical development of electrical Specialists and Technicians.
- Develop job scopes for capital and maintenance electrical related engineering projects.
- Prepare project packages (print, loop sheet, specification sheets, operating instruction, schematic, wiring diagram revisions, spare parts needs, preventive maintenance requirements, etc) for electrical work to be executed.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, or engineering technology required.
- 5-10 year industrial experience is required.
- Detailed knowledge motors and drives both AC & DC.
- Familiarity with PC applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of SAP or other CMMS program desired.
- Familiarity with maintenance of emergency generator systems is desired.
- Familiarity with NEC, ISA, IEEE, NFPA70 and other industrial/regulatory electrical/instrumentation codes and standards.
- You must present to the Company a valid Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard prior to commencing employment.
- Familiarity with electrical PM (Preventative Maintenance) procedures preparation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with operation, technical, mechanical/electrical maintenance crafts people.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and team building skills.
